Our family farm at Rotherham has been owned by one of our extended family since 1936, and our garden and home initially established by an Aunt and Uncle as newlyweds in the early 1960’s. From humble beginnings, they started with a wee brown cottage and forged on to leave us a legacy of a wind-fast macrocarpa hedge, and selection of older trees lining the drive and what is now the car park area. We arrived in 1991, and it was up to us –a novice townie (Sydney girl) and her not so enthusiastic young husband to make our own mark on the house and garden. The house has grown and extended and continues to evolve, along with the garden. Fences have been moved (twice), the cottage style garden was removed and my love affair with roses began.
There are over 170 roses currently in our garden, intermingled with Rhodos, and contained within knot gardens and hedges of all shapes and sizes and varieties. All landscaped (and changed several times) by myself, the series of interconnecting garden rooms sits on just under a hectare. It continues to provide a tranquil respite for our family and friends from our everyday lives. We hope you enjoy your visit

Stay on this road (Mt Palm Rd) till you have gone over two bridges. Straight after the second bridge, turn left down Sandersons Road.
Stay on this road, go through a No Exit sign onto a shingle road. Keep going till you see a high hedge on the left, and the eagle on a stump, then you have found us. Our name is on the mailbox.
